As you know, we are studying the transfer of energy in ecosystems this week. Click on the following link and scroll down to the middle of the page to the Energy Pyramid. Read the caption and click on the energy pyramid link. It will connect you to a cool video that explains the energy transfer process in a food chain.
There is also a link at the bottom of the page to a BrainPOP video about food chains that you should check out.
Next, click on the "Create a Food Web" link and follow the instructions to create a food web displaying the transfer of energy. Print out your web and bring it to school when you are done.
Click on the Food Chains MCQ link at the bottom of the main page. Complete the quiz, print it out, and bring it to school.

It will take them to a page with 6 interactive activities under the title of Food Chains and Webs. Have your child complete some of these activities to develop their understanding of energy transfer in ecosystems.
